About

C. Schuyler Neuhauser
My name is Schuyler, pronounced SKY-lər.
I am a historian by training with professional experience in the financial technology sector. Most recently, I have been participating in a fellowship program run by Fleet AI, an agentic AI startup, and working on a variety of software development projects. I am increasingly curious about the nature of human-AI collaboration and the role of the humanities in guiding future AI systems.

What this site does with your data.

Almost nothing. This site sets no cookies, embeds no third-party trackers and stores nothing in your browser. There are no forms, so there is nothing for you to submit. The only information about your visit is what the host records automatically, described below.

Typefaces are served from this site rather than from a third-party font service, so loading a page does not send your IP address anywhere except to the host of this site.

This site is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc., who keep standard server access logs. These typically record IP address, browser user-agent, the page requested and the time of the request. They exist so the host can operate and secure the service. I do not have access to the raw logs themselves, but I can see aggregate summaries Cloudflare produces from them — request and visitor counts, which pages were requested, which sites linked here, and which countries traffic came from. These summaries are counts, not profiles: they do not let me identify you, follow you between visits, or link your activity here to anything else. No analytics script runs in your browser, and nothing is sent to any third-party analytics service. Where the GDPR applies, the lawful basis is legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)) in keeping the site running and secure and in understanding how it is used. Retention is set by the host and is typically a matter of days; see Cloudflare's privacy policy (opens in a new tab) for their current policy.

The data controller for this site is C. Schuyler Neuhauser. You have the right to request access to, correction of, or erasure of any personal data held about you, and to complain to your local data protection authority.
